Midfielder of FC Karpaty Cristobal Marquez Crespo, who did not fly with the team to Turkey for training camp, signed contract with Spanish club Elche CF, which is competing for promotion to the Elite Division. It is interesting that a year ago Elche, for which Cristobal played at the time, also competed for promotion to the Primera Division, but lost to Granada, which recently took on loan another Karpaty player Borja Gomez.

Currently Elche holds forth position in the league table trailing Deportivo La Coruna by a mere 5 points. That is why the club from Alicante province showed the highest intention and persuaded Cristobal.

During the last months Cristobal played for Karpaty in 12 matches (7 in the championship, 4 in Europa League, 1 in the Cup of Ukraine), scored one goal against Metalist and made one assist to Lucas in the match against Zorya. Unfortunately this talented player could not show his best qualities in Lviv.

However Karpaty do not say goodbye to the former player of Villareal. After the expiration of six months loan decision regarding Cristobal will be made. Elche will be able to buy out the player’s contract, otherwise he will return to Lviv.
