Karpaty logo, the one which we are used to see on the player shirts appeared in 1990. Well-known heraldists from Lviv - Andriy Hrechylo and Ivan Turetskyy have became its authors. Symbol of a lion is one of the most common in European heraldry. It symbolizes strength, power, confidence. Since XIV century a walking lion at the gate could be seen on seals and coat of arms of the city of Lviv. This particular version was restored in 1990 and used in the Karpaty logo

The flag colors are green and white. Traditional green and white vertical stripes were widely used in 1960-s. The tradition reverted by the club in the early 2009. Before Ukrainian Cup final of 1993 the mayor of Lviv Vasyl Shpitzer, while sending the train with fans to Kyiv, had promised to mount green and white flag on the City Hall right next to blue and yellow one if Karpaty manage to defeat Dynamo. Sadly, Karpaty ended up loosing – 1:2.

A lion in green and white football uniform is the mascot of Karpaty. In the spring of 1997 it became the third football mascot of the kind in Ukraine, after the ones of Dynamo Kyiv and Vorskla Poltava.
